“One of the most crucial criteria in selecting a contractor is finding one with enough trucks and staff to complete all units and common areas in the 2-3 weeks that you have to complete it.”

SteamMaster uses the VAC-IT PANELS from Injectidry Systems, Inc. to dry all sorts of wet materials, such as hardwood floors, ceilings, and plaster walls. There are a variety of different situations that can cause unwanted water to leak onto hardwood floors and walls. In all situations, it is required that all levels of flooring be dried. This means not just mopping the surface layer.

It is paramount to establish if there are still some remaining wet areas on the surface or in the sub flooring. Determining this is important because when moisture leaks onto a surface it not only can cause water damage to the top surface, but could seep through to layers beneath and damage them. The moisture is then caught underneath the wood floor and this is what causes the buckling.

The Injectidry process works by placing the VAC-IT PANELS on the wood (or walls), and then turning the suction on. It is then able to take the air out of the space between the sub floor and the hard wood flooring. This causes the water molecules that were in the sub flooring to rise into the moisture free airspace. This occurs because the suction is causing the ambient air to lower in humidity and thus allowing the moisture molecules in the wood to rise into the air.

Once the moisture molecules are in the air they can be sucked up into the VAC-IT PANELS thus eliminating all moisture from the area. The air in this case functions like an absorbent sponge taking all the moisture out of the sub flooring thus drying the flooring quickly and evenly.
